1. Factory or trading company? How to tell
Many battery case listings come from trading companies that re-label the same product from several workshops. That is not always a problem, but it makes capacity claims and documents hard to trace. Ask three questions:
- Who owns the moulds? A manufacturer can name the mould count and the iPhone models each one covers.
- Can you see the line? A live video walk-through of assembly and aging takes ten minutes for a real factory.
- Where is the test bench? Capacity and coil output should be measured in-house, not quoted from the cell supplier.
You can see how we answer these on our factory page.
2. MOQ and price tiers
Battery case wholesale pricing is usually tiered by quantity, and a good factory lets you mix models and colours inside one tier. As a reference, here is our current EXW Dongguan ladder in USD per unit:
| Quantity | Slim 2500 | Slim 3600 | Pro 5000 | Snap magnetic battery pack |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10–49 | $17.90 | $19.90 | $22.90 | On request |
| 50–99 | $15.90 | $17.90 | $20.90 | On request |
| 100–499 | $12.90 | $14.90 | $17.90 | On request |
| 500+ | $11.90 | $13.90 | $16.90 | On request |
Compare quotes on the same terms. An EXW price and a DDP price for the same product can differ by freight, duty and dangerous-goods surcharges.
3. Certificates that actually matter
- UN 38.3 test summary — required to transport lithium batteries by air or sea. It must match the cell model and capacity you are buying.
- IEC 62133 — the cell safety standard most marketplaces and retailers ask for.
- SDS / MSDS — the safety data sheet your forwarder will request.
- Drop and stacking tests — useful for retail packaging approval.
- Qi or Qi2 certification — only if you want to print the logo. Without a certificate from the Wireless Power Consortium, the logo must not appear on the product, the box or the listing.
Watch out: a 5,000 mAh report does not cover a 2,500 mAh shipment. Marketplace reviewers do check that the document matches the product.
4. Private label and OEM
Typical options for battery case OEM orders are a logo on the shell, a custom retail box and market-specific packaging text. With us, logo printing starts at 100 pieces and custom boxes at 500 pieces. One rule protects your listing: the printed capacity must match the cell report for that batch, and no Apple trademarks or certification logos go on the product without the matching certificate.
5. Shipping lithium battery products
Battery cases and magnetic battery packs ship as Class 9 dangerous goods unless the battery qualifies for the small-battery exemption. Your supplier should state the packing instruction (for example PI 967) and tell you which channel your quantity can legally use.
| Channel | Typical transit | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Air express | 5–8 days | Small orders, under 20 kg |
| Air freight | 8–12 days | PI 967 declaration |
| Sea LCL / FCL | 28–38 days | Lowest cost per unit |
6. Sample to shipment timeline
- Quote within one working day.
- Sample or pre-production unit: day 3–7.
- Artwork proof and deposit: day 7–10.
- Production and aging test: day 10–25.
- Inspection, documents and shipment: day 25–30.
For larger orders, book a third-party inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas or TÜV) or a live video walk-through before paying the balance.
7. Checklist before you place the order
- Measured capacity and delivered charge for each iPhone model you sell.
- UN 38.3, IEC 62133 and SDS matching your exact cell and batch.
- Price tier, incoterm (EXW or FOB) and payment terms in writing.
- Approved artwork and carton labels per model.
- Shipping channel and packing instruction confirmed by your forwarder.
Frequently asked questions
What is the MOQ for battery case wholesale?
Our MOQ is 10 pieces, and one order can mix models, colours and capacities. Private label starts at 100 pieces.
Can I mix battery cases and magnetic battery packs in one order?
Yes. Mixed orders are priced by the quantity tier of the whole order, so you can test both product types with one shipment.
Who pays import duties?
The receiver, unless agreed otherwise in writing. We quote EXW or FOB Dongguan; we do not quote DDP.
How long does production take?
Bulk production takes 15–25 days after artwork approval and deposit, including the aging test on every unit.
